WW1 Carte de Visite of an NCO of the German East Asia Expeditionary Corps. Wearing the Khaki field uniform and khaki winter service cap (the Strohhut or the Tropenhelm were worn in the hotter summer months) apparently piped in red for the infantry. Medal ribbon and bar on his left chest and single Unteroffizier chevron on his left sleeve. Rarely photographed East Asia marksmanship lanyard over his right shoulder. Karlsruhe photography studio along bottom edge. Excellent condition, circa 1910. Rare image. 5.5cm x 10.5cm.
