G002458 TWO IMPERIAL TAILOR'S PATTERN/TRAINING BOOKS. (Lehrbuch) A pair of brown, hard cover text books, about 9 1/4" x 12 1/8", with a grey cloth tape reinforced spine. Both texts are titled "Carré - Systems 1911.", "Der Praktische Zuschneider" (The Practical Cutter), "Konstruktionslehre des Carré-Systems" (Construction teachings of the Carré system), "Lehrbuch mit schnitt-Konstruktionen" (Textbook with cut-constructions), "Für den Unterricht an der Berliner Schneider-Akademie" (For the instruction at the Berliner tailor-academy) by Rudolf Maurer, Proprietor Alfred Maurer. Both books were published in 1911, Berlin. The first book is 416 page, and consist of 52 lesson with a supplement at the end. The second book full of numbered patterns for use with the first text book. Other than discoloration to the inside of the covers, age toning to the edges of the pages and the binding separating on the first book, they are in good condition considering their age.
