G002094 M89 PATTERN ENGRAVED "Jager Regt Nr 6" SWORD. (Säbel) 

Jäger-Regiment zu Pferde Nr. 6. The 6th Mounted Rifles were a light cavalry regiment of the Royal Prussian Army. The regiment was formed 1 October 1910 in Erfurt. M89 pattern sword with a double fuller blade is about 84cm long. Blade is very nicely engraved Jäger-Regiment zu Pferde Nr. 6". Leather washer is complete. Full, double folding, nickel/silvered basket with eagle. Excellent black bakelite grip. Scabbard with single hangers as used after 1905. The sword knott looks to be off a WW2 fire police sword.
