A beige 85cm x 67cm duffle bag with a 43cm diameter, reinforced bottom has 9 reinforced stitched holes with a woven hemp rope passed through tied in a maritime-type knot. There is a handwritten name and address to the exterior of the bag along with the remnants of a large label. To the interior is a hand sewn white label with red lettering that reads "Stempel" along with a stamped mark "BAW", which refers to the quartermasters in Wilhelmshaven along with what looks to be a 1915 date. A pair of straps and buckles are to the reverse so that it can be used as a knapsack/back pack. There is a flap made of the same canvas material sewn on the inside. ,
