BACKGROUND:
As with most automatic weapons both the MG34 and MG42 selective fire, general purpose machine guns were equipped with a muzzle flash hider to conceal the flash that discharged from the muzzle when the weapon was fired. The muzzle flash hider came with a protective container and was a component of the Universalkasten 34, (Universal Case 34), kit.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Tooled steel construction MG34 flash suppressor. Roughly 14cm in height with a 50mm base diameter. Comes with original metal storage container. Nice untouched condition.
