BACKGROUND: The German army issued a wide variety of protective, special duty and general glasses and goggles for assorted personnel including sun glasses for use in the desert or snowy climates. Although some goggles were designed with a specific purpose in mind they also issued general purpose goggles with interchangeable lenses for use by all personnel as required.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: General purpose goggles with a cut-out, leather frame with stitched on, circular metal alloy lens retainers. Each amber lense has five ventilation holes to the bottom. Comes with original case and a small leather pouch with additional lenses. The container has some denting and is a bit misshapen which causes the top to go on with a bit of difficulty.
