H039894 RADIO GROUNDING STAKE WITH CASE. (Funk Grundierung Stange mit Trager)

Roughly 48cm long, tooled steel, cylindrical, radio grounding stake with a 31mm diameter top tapering down to a pointed tip bottom for ease of inserting it into the ground. The top of the stake has two, horizontal, downward angled, posts to assist in pulling the unit out of the ground after use. The main body of the stake has four, staggered, rows of five punched holes for additional conduction. The stake is maker marked and dated for 1942. The blackened leather, cylindrical, pouch with a vertical stitched seam to the reverse. The pouch tapers to point at the bottom, and has a stitched and riveted on vertical belt loop and horizontal retaining tab with an aluminum stud closure to the top. Nicely marked and dated for 1941.
