H039594 U-BOAT 8.8CM DECK GUN CREW SAFETY STRAP.

A woven hemp strap that measures approximately 80cm x 10cm with a pair of black leather single prong buckles with corresponding straps. The underside is stamped “8.8cm S.K. C/35 308". Extending and anchored from the rear of the strap is a 113" long, twisted hemp rope with a large spring clamp. The leather pad is manufacture marked “F.J. Rothe, Braunschweig”. Used to secure the crew while the gun was in operation.
