H038088 TROPICAL MG34/42 OIL CANISTER. (Öel Blechbüchse) 

Roughly 3 1/8" x 6 3/8" x 4 5/8", tan painted, magnetic sheet metal construction oil can. Can features a screw off cap with small pour spout to one corner of the top lid. Screw off cap is secured to the can by a small chain to prevent lose. Top lid also has a raised, brazed on, carrying handle with embossed script, "W. Sch. Oel". Reverse of can has a brazed vertical seam. Can was a component of the Universalkasten 34, (Universal Case 34), kit designed for maintenance and repair of the MG 34/42. Scarce to see in the tan color.
