H036095 LP42 FLARE PISTOL. (Leuchtpistole) 

The "Leuchtpistole or just LP" (often wrongly called M34) was introduced in 1926 in steel, with a long barrel. In 1935 it was redesigned in aluminum, with a short barrel. Most of the old ones in steel got the long barrel sawed off. Name remained unchanged. Due to the lack of aluminum and the need to save labor, a new steel model was developed in 1943 (LP42). Tooled steel, stamped and brazed magnetic sheet metal construction short barrel flare pistol with a matte grey painted finish and plastic impregnated carved wooden grips. Well marked with an impressed waffen amt stamp, serial number, "094354", and the manufacturers code, "euh". Comes with a nice original case. Case is missing the small leather section that holds the cleaning rod tip.
