H035295 “TUFANI, STURM ÜBER DEUTSCH OSTAFRIKA” BOOK.
A 17cm x 24cm, soft cover book whose title loosely translates to “Tufani, Storm over German East Africa”, written by Vice Admiral Max Looff, Captain of the S.M.S. Koenigsberg during WWI. Berlin 1936. Tufani is a Swahili word that means a severe storm, tempest, or typhoon. Very rare book, in exceptional condition, possibly the best surviving copy. Many excellent photographs of the S.M.S. Koenigsberg in the Rufiji Delta not published elsewhere.
