H034795 GERMAN 1934 KOLONIAL CALENDER.

WW2 German Köhler's Kolonial Calendar for 1934. The firm of Köhler printed colonial calendars every year, often reusing the same image on the cover as the previous year. This was the only year the native girl on the cover was bare breasted and not covered up. The calendars valorized and publicized the former German colonies, which were taken from Germany by the Versailles Treaty. The veterans association for former members of the colonial service (Schutztruppe), the Kolonialbund, continued to press for the return of the former German colonies until the start of WW2. Excellent condition, complete with all pages and only minor edge and spine wear. Rare.
