A white lien triangular shaped bandage that measures approximately 87cm x 88cm x 136cm that bears six illustrations by J.H. Wittmack that show various usages of the bandage. The bandage also bears printing that reads ""Der erste Verband nach Professor Esmarch". Darunter steht die Herstellerbezeichnung: "Jetziger alleiniger Hersteller Gabriel Herose A.G. Konstanz" sowie der seitlich platzierte Vermerk: „Druck der Gesellschaft für Baumwoll-Industrie vorm. Ludwig & Gustav Cramer Hilden Alle Rechte Vorbehalten" or "The first bandage according to Professor Esmarch". Below is the manufacturer's name: "Current sole manufacturer Gabriel Herose A.G. Konstanz" and the note on the side: "Printed by the Society for the Cotton Industry, formerly Ludwig & Gustav Cramer Hilden. All rights reserved". Of Note: Friedrich von Esmarch was a German surgeon who founded the Deutscher Samariter-Verein, the predecessor of the Deutscher Samariter-Bun (wiki)
