H026790 TOPICAL GREATCOAT.

Tropical Heer greatcoat (Mantel) in very good used condition, clearly marked to manufacturer Gunther Vlohl of Breslau (inkstamp to inside of interior pocket) and complete with size and 1941 depot stamps. Some minor period repairs. Also has the faint remains of a PW marking on the back - so this one definitely was period used. There are a couple of small stitches on the upper left arm, which may be the remaining evidence of a rank chevron being attached at some stage. The overcoat is fitted with a matching pair of tropical Heer greatcoat shoulder straps for a Panzergrenadier Feldwebel. These have been period field modified (not uncommon) and fit the coat well. The overcoat is a rare item that can be difficult to find - particularly if period used.
