H017293 RATION TIN.
A 3cm x 8cm x 13cm, painted, metal alloy container of smoked fish, can reads "Fertig zum Gebrauch" or "ready to eat". Made by the fish canning company of Gottfried Friedrichs of Altona Ottensen. Opening pull tab is still present but the can is unopened and empty, so it was probably a display sample for a shop window, but identical to the tins shipped and passed out to German soldiers and airmen in the field. Scarce to find a nice unopened can like this.
