BACKGROUND: The camera was named after Baldur von Schirach, leader of the Hitler-Jugend (Hitler Youth Group). . The cameras were distributed to leaders of each group so that their activities could be recorded. The idea was taken up by the Italian Fascist boys' club, the Opera Nazionale Balilla, which was supplied with the same camera, named Balilla. The Baldur was made from 1934 onwards.(Wiki)
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A 7.5cm x 10.5cm x 11.5cm, two piece box camera manufactured by Zeiss Ikon. This model takes the 6cm x 9cm film. Included is an original "Zeiss Ikon" brown leather carrying case.
